Baldwin Filters WSA Discount and Education Structure

BaldwinLogo350

Baldwin Filters is a company founded by J. A. Baldwin, one of the first to recognize the importance of improving mobile filtration.

Baldwin designed a cartridge lube filter that he began producing in Wisconsin in 1936. In order to expand so as to compete for big orders, the company moved to Kearney, Nebraska, in 1952. Today, the company is a member of the Clarcor Company, and produces and sells commercial-grade filters throughout the world, boasting an astonishingly low failure rate of 1 in a million. In addition to a discount on all Baldwin Filters, WSA Members have access to a variety of other valuable resources. For a brief (@3-minute) audio overview of the Baldwin Filter company and the training available, we invite you to listen to the podcast, linked at the bottom of this page, with WSA’s Executive Director, Ranger Kidwell-Ross, and Kent McGinnis, Baldwin Filters’ National Account Manager/Fleet Services.

WSA Member training may include the following:

Online Training

BaldwinOnlineTrainingLogoBaldwin Filters offers online training information to help understand equipment systems, the history of filtration and the importance of proper filtration and maintenance practices. There are five modules covering the product lines of air, lube, fuel, hydraulic and coolant. Each module examines the history of filtration, the system and how it works, filter types, problems & preventive maintenance, installation techniques and a summary. This chapter format allows you to learn about filtration on a schedule that is best for you. This training can be integrated into your current employee training program and is also available as a CD or DVD. Use this link to access the Baldwin video training page.

Baldwin University

Baldwin U is a three-day seminar presented by our highly trained filter design engineers and staff and is designed to broaden our distributors awareness of today’s filtration theories and practices. Plant and lab tours demonstrate the construction of Baldwin Filters’ product line and examine research being done with existing and future filtration principles. Discussions about preventive maintenance practices, and extended oil drain intervals – all concerns of today’s heavy equipment operator – are also featured during the seminar. Baldwin University is offered at the company’s headquarters in Kearney, Nebraska. Each session begins with a welcome breakfast on Monday at 8:00 a.m., and concludes on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. For information on this year’s dates, contact Kent McGinnis, Baldwin’s National Account Manager/Fleet Services, who is our WSA Member liaison.
