Dear WSA Members,

We contacted several WSA members to see if we should provide a different folder/notebook for renewals next year – or something else entirely. All said they use the notebooks in their sales presentations and that after a year of use they were always ready for another one. So, we’ll be doing that unless a number of you tell us that you’d prefer something else.

NELTS and Mirror Lawn logos
The WSA office has received member messages advising about slow payments and no payments from Mirror Lawn and Northeast Landscaping & Tree Services Inc. (N.E.L.T.S. Inc.). If you sweep for either organization we advise that you keep close track to ensure you are paid within the timeline specified in your contract. You may also find they have in their contracts a long payment lag, something that you might want to address with any new work you do for them, etc.

Domain Registry Logo
A widely discredited scammer company, Domain Registry, sends what the Better Business Bureau has documented as “fake invoices” for domain services. Whenever you receive a notice from them, WSA advises to discard them.

Holiday Party Advice
We’re coming upon the Holiday Season, historically a time for holiday parties. Given COVID 19, as well as the ever-changing requirements for defining non-offensive company policy and minimizing liabilities, it’s more important than ever for organizations to develop cohesive holiday plans.

Each year at WorldSweeper the organization’s November newsletter issue offers an overview of these topics as they relate to the power sweeping industry, as well as links to stress reduction tips for managers and holiday party guidelines. In case you’d like to review the info before that newsletter’s release next week, here’s a link

Our November Safety First! post by John Meola offers the following good reminder topics. Holiday Travel and Festivities
Cooler Temps Require Adjustment Cycle
Defensive Driving: Follow Best Practices!
Consider the Weekly Toll of Occupational Fatalities
Seasonal Dress and PPE

As always, if you have questions or comments about this WSA Member Update, or anything else to do with the World Sweeping Association or power sweeping in general, please let me know.

Good Sweeping,
Ranger Kidwell-Ross
