WSA Member Update 5.15.24

May 15, 2024 Dear WSA Members, We welcome our newest contractor member, Di-Kira & Di-Fini Sdn. BHD, which is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  I can’t recall when more contractors have brought employee issues up than has occurred recently. So, this issue offers several links to ideas about how to perhaps work better with your employees. This first one is a PDF file we’ve added to the WSA website, entitled ‘Employee Monitoring Tools,’ that provides ideas about how to best monitor your workers.  I first met Gregory Smith over a decade ago. His company’s tag line is “We help businesses transform themselves into exceptional places to work that attract, retain and motivate people to their full potential.” Through the years, his Chart Your Course International organization has helped thousands of business owners in that regard.  When it comes to employee retention, Greg offers a number of brief articles on that specific topic. This link to his website offers an even dozen articles on that topic; it also includes a half-dozen more on employee motivation. If you want to learn ideas about either of those topics I suggest Greg’s articles as an avenue to check out. I have again contacted Mark Graham, Sr. Manager for Walmart Exterior Services, about obtaining an interview with him or another senior manager on the Auditec Solutions back-auditing situation. As you recall, he said the route to do that would be via contacting Walmart Media Relations. I did so on April 8th, with a follow-up, and still no contact back. I plan to now provide the story to the larger number of contractors who subscribe to the free WorldSweeper monthly e-newsletter. If you have more info to share on similar or other inexplicable changes at Walmart please  let me know.
