WSA Member Update 6.1.24

June 1, 2024 Dear WSA Members, When was the last time you read through WorldSweeper’s Tip Clipboard? There are a total of 135 hints and tips in that area of the enormous site and there are likely several of the entries that would prove useful to your company. Also, if you have a tip we can add, please let me know. It’s certainly time to remind everyone to get info about WSA’s Memorial Scholarship program up onto your bulletin boards and distributed to your employees. I believe this marks the seventh year that WSA will be providing up to $2,000 each toward tuition and other costs to two students connected with the sweeping industry. These may be employees, or children of employees, who are or will be attending in an accredited university or technical school.  Here is a link to the WSA Memorial Scholarship page as well as all the application instructions. Click here for a ready-to-print PDF form you can use as a way to get the info to your employees. I bet some of your workers have kid(s) that would really benefit from getting a $2,000 scholarship so please distribute info about the availability of these scholarships widely throughout your company. Since today, May Day, is also considered International Workers’ Day, what better time to provide this kind of information?! There’s no question that Michelin is one of the leading tire brands or that tire wear is one of the perennial problems encountered by sweeping contractors. So, when I saw Michelin was offering a brief 8-point reminder about ways to get the best wear on tires, I thought it worth linking for you.
