WSA Member Update 6.15.25
June 15, 2025

Dear Member,

TomTruckImages2025
One of our members recently asked about ordering parts from one of our membership benefit companies, Tom’s Truck Center. Having not spoken to Tom’s recently I called and asked our WSA representative to review the validity of the 40% discount they are offering to WSA. The vehicle brands they carry are shown in the graphic above. BTW, the company touts itself as the largest seller of Isuzu/GM parts in the U.S.!

FYI, our WSA representative for Tom’s is Parts Sales Specialist, Alexander Robles. In our phone conversation and via emails, Alexander re-confirmed that WSA members receive the same 40% discount as the Penske Fleet. If you need vehicle parts for the brands carried by Tom’s Truck Center I suggest you check them out.

If you have any ideas about additional items you’d like to be discussed or learn more information about, please let me know.

10StepsFaultCodes
Do you and your tech team always act responsibly when you receive a ‘diagnostic trouble code'(DTC) on one of your vehicles? I know from experience that sometimes the temptation can be to just clear the code and figure it will be okay or wait for it to come back. However, clearing one can definitely lead to a recurring issue or keep you from performing some sort of needed maintenance.

We’ve added a PDF from JPro called “10 Steps Before Clearing Fault Codes” that offers information on what you should always do before attempting to clear a code. I believe you’ll find it worthwhile taking a look at the suggestions.

Some of you may not yet have realized that an increase in business efficiency via AI is now readily available and here to stay – and in a BIG way. I know others have already realized that if they don’t keep up in this area they will soon find their competitors will blow by them due to increased efficiency in most all the business areas that cost you time.

If you want to learn more about how AI can supercharge your business you’ll have to invest some time on the learning process. Or, alternatively you may want to hire someone with AI experience and/or designate an employee to do some training in that area. This month I’ve added access to an online page entitled “FREE AI Learning Resources.” It offers sites for free courses in AI as well as links to some of the top courses at leaders including Google and Microsoft.

Meola Safety First

When Did ‘Safety Regulation’ become a bad word?

I keep trying to send you information you might not otherwise find yourself exposed to. As always, if there are any specific topics you’d like covered, or if you have questions or comments about this WSA Member Updateor anything else to do with the World Sweeping Association or power sweeping in general, please let me know.
