WSA Member Update 8.1.24

August 1, 2024 Dear WSA Members, ‘Tis the Season… when shady companies like Domain Registry and Domain Networks – just two of the most prevalent companies of their type – send out notices to holders of domains. The notices will “remind” you to pay for something like “your annual website domain listing.” I encourage you to alert your accounts payable team that these provide little-to-no value and are certainly not needed. If you have questions in this regard don’t hesitate to contact the WSA office. Okay, I know everybody is busy in the summer. That said, if you are currently having any difficulties in your company with sweeper management, scheduling and routing, why not be WSA’s investigator into HindSite, which purports to be an elegant solution in those areas?  As a further plus, the program integrates with QuickBooks. If you are interested in watching their demo and talking to a representative, then reporting back your analysis, please let me know. As many of you will know, I write an article for each issue of PAVEMENT Maintenance & Reconstruction magazine. For the upcoming issue I wrote a reminder about the many ways power sweeping helps preserve pavement surfaces. I made the result into this PDF file that is now also linked in the Forms and Handouts section of the WSA website. If you haven’t checked out all of the information contained in that part of the website recently, I suggest you do so. It contains a large variety of information that you can use as handouts, both inside your company and to your prospects and customers.
